What our reputation management experts do
Reputation management at Profile begins by settling the themes a business or individual should be known for, then measuring everything produced afterwards against them. Articles, coverage and multimedia follow, written and filmed in the client's voice and drafted first by Profile for sign-off. That material is placed with independent journalists in the business, finance and trade press the client's buyers read, then carried across LinkedIn, so what a customer, investor or reporter finds when they search is content the client chose rather than whatever happens to rank. Nothing is bought placement.
How they work
A reputation is what other people say, which means it can be influenced but never directly written. The work is therefore mostly about supply: putting enough substantial, independently published material into the world that it is what a search returns, and doing it before it is needed rather than after. Reputation built under pressure is visibly built under pressure. Profile also runs its own research unit, polling how audiences actually perceive senior businesspeople, so the work is aimed at the gap between how a client is seen and how they would like to be, rather than at an assumption about it. Profile has been named Top Reputation Manager by Spear's six times.
When to bring them in
The usual triggers are a fundraise, a sale, a new leadership appointment, entry into an unfamiliar market, or the discovery that decision-makers who look the client up find nothing that matches their standing inside the business.
